Concept Design: A 2004 SUV with Xpeng DNA
When designing this 2004 SUV concept, my vision was to combine the bold utility of an SUV with a tech-forward, minimalist aesthetic. The goal was to create a vehicle that represents the future of electric, autonomous driving while maintaining a timeless design. Inspired by the clean lines and innovative technologies found in Xpeng's more recent models, I wanted this concept to exude an effortless, futuristic charm, blending sleek surfaces with subtle details that hint at its tech-driven nature.
The key to this design was balancing elements of practicality and cutting-edge autonomy. The silhouette was shaped to ensure a smooth airflow, emphasizing its electric foundation while also incorporating a rugged, adventure-ready stance. The minimal use of physical buttons or knobs reflects the car's autonomous capabilities, signaling that interaction with the vehicle is more intuitive and less about traditional controls, allowing the driver to simply enjoy the ride as the car takes care of the rest.
