1962 Steampunk Limousine Concept Car Design

When designing this 1962 Steampunk-inspired limousine, I wanted to merge the elegance of the era with a bold vision of innovation. The body contours recall the sleek, smooth curves found in various Renault models of the late '50s and early '60s, but with a futuristic twist. The juxtaposition of polished brass, copper pipes, and meticulously crafted gears brings the mechanical beauty of the steampunk aesthetic into play, while staying true to European refinement and sophistication.

The style is intended to be both luxurious and functional, incorporating oversized wheels reminiscent of the Renault 4CV and a nod to the iconic Renault Dauphine's practical yet stylish form. The use of intricate rivets and steam-powered elements underlines the innovative spirit of the time, as if this vehicle could cruise through an alternate history where steam technology reigned supreme. With this design, I aimed to capture the essence of 1960s Europeโ€”futuristic yet grounded in the rich heritage of automotive craftsmanship.
