Designing the 2290 Ligier-Inspired Compact Hatchback
In envisioning the hatchback of 2290, I sought to integrate the compact, urban essence of the Ligier brand while ensuring a lightweight, agile design that could thrive in dense city environments. The goal was to balance functionality with style, pushing the boundaries of what we know about compact cars today. I wanted the lines to flow seamlessly from the front to the rear, with a streamlined, efficient profile that reflects the car's lightweight nature and maximizes its urban mobility.
For the 2290 model, I focused on blending elements from various Ligier cars, incorporating their distinct curves and minimalistic approach, while adding a futuristic edge. The front end is sharp and dynamic, with subtle angular elements that enhance aerodynamics. The overall design uses negative space intelligently, emphasizing the hatchback's compact nature, and the rear features an elevated, distinctive shape that adds a touch of sophistication to its simplicity. The result is a car that's perfectly suited for the fast-paced urban life of the future.
