Designing the 1943 De Tomaso Convertible Concept in Art Deco Style
In creating this concept for a 1943 De Tomaso Convertible, my goal was to fuse the elegance of Art Deco with the high-performance spirit that defines the De Tomaso brand. Drawing inspiration from various De Tomaso models, I envisioned a striking silhouette, emphasizing sharp lines and chrome accents, which echo the luxury and sophistication of the Art Deco era. The overall design aimed to evoke a sense of speed, while maintaining the exotic and innovative essence that these vehicles are known for.
To capture the period's fascination with modernity, I incorporated intricate geometric patterns into the vehicle's bodywork and used polished metallic surfaces that reflect light in dynamic ways, enhancing its allure. The concept car's open design enhances its high-performance aura, with sleek curves and an aerodynamic form that suggest agility and precision. Every detail, from the streamlined front to the plush interior, was thoughtfully crafted to provide both style and substance, celebrating the fusion of art, engineering, and luxury.
